Dr Mahes Wanigesekera graduated with honors from the University of Sydney in 1992. After graduation he worked at Westmead Dental Hospital from 1993 to 1998, during this time he also worked part time for the Department of Defence and at private practices located in Wentworthville and Penrith.
In 1999 Dr Mahes (as he likes to be called) commenced practice in Rockdale with Dr Jim Giannisis following the retirement of Dr Peter Furey.
In 2003 Dr Mahes and Dr Giannisis relocated the practice to brand new premises on the corner of King Street & George Street in Rockdale. This remains their current practice location.
Dr Mahes is a member of the Australian Dental Association and the Australian Society of Endodontology.
Dr Mahes interests in dentistry include endodontics, cosmetic dentistry and treatment of sleep apnoea and snoring with oral appliances. In 2010 he was awarded the Somnomed “Platinum” status for sleep apnoea care.
Dr Mahes wishes to provide all his patients the best dental treatment that is available, all carried out in the safe friendly and caring atmosphere of Rockdale Dentists est.1954.
There are many different options to treat dental conditions and Dr Mahes wants to ensure all patients understand these and choose what is best for them.
